We must learn to control what we can and recognize what is not in our control. What is important is how we react to the situation.
Bob studied at Brandon University and the University of Winnipeg where he graduated with a Bachelor of Teaching Degree. Upon completing his education he followed his passion and played professional hockey in Canada, the United States and Europe. After careers as a professional hockey player, a Special Education Teacher, a guidance and career counsellor for students and adults he became passionately involved in the world of leadership seminars and leadership training.
Bob has always been an active community member, offering coaching courses for the Manitoba Hockey and Baseball Associations. He has received the Merit Award for dedication to community work and the Coach of the Year Award from the Province of Manitoba.
Bob returned to professional ice hockey in Europe in 1988 as a Coach and later as General Manager. He has been in Europe since that time and has worked in Switzerland, Germany, England and Austria with hockey clubs at Europe’s highest level. During this time, he has been a member of the coaching staff of Team Canada on ten different occasions at various international competitions.
In 2011, Bob founded Leslie Global Leadership. Since then he has been a keynote speaker, a leader, a driving force and an influential innovator with companies determined to develop and improve their leadership teams.
